With every addition, there has to be subtraction, right? Stampin’ Up! has removed some of their colours in their update for the new Idea Book and Catalogue, and so effective July 1 these colours will no longer be available. If you NEED some ink refills or cardstock to round out your supplies, order early!

I haven’t tested this design with actual cardstock yet…and it will use different textures, designer series paper, and possibly colours than this one (I’m not sure yet on the green)…but it will be something similar to this.

Christmas Stamp-a-Stack prototype 1

I’ve got a card class coming up on October 30. We’re making 10 cards- 5 each of 2 designs. This is one of my designs, but I will be using a different stamp set.
If you’re in the Edmonton area and interested in coming, I have 2 spaces left and you have until October 23 (Friday) to register and pay. Cost is $25 which includes envelopes and postage stamps.

Introducing My Digital Studio!

This is my first digital card. I love this program I get to play with stamp sets and designer series paper I don’t have, fiddle around with colour, and add or delete embellishments at will. This is a very cool program! My next task will be to print it. Stay tuned for that next week!

Christmas in September

The weather here in the Edmonton area isn’t at all close to Christmas, but my calendar says it’s coming sooner than I think it will. I love the colour combo of Very Vanilla, Sage Shadow, and Handsome Hunter. Enjoy!

Is Mari! Thanks all of you for your advice. I think all of you have helpful things to say. I plan on implementing all of it this weekend/week before Christmas.
I’m sorry I didn’t pull a winner on Thursday- it completely slipped my mind between the school Christmas concert, teacher gifts, last day of school, and the stinkin’ cold out there.

Glass Glitter Ornaments- Teacher Gifts!

I found the blog, Prairie Paper and Ink, with the most amazing tutorial on how to make these! Check it out here. There are excellent pictures and instructions to follow.
My ornaments- 2 for 1 teacher, 2 for the other- (and one for me) were made using Pale Plum reinker (soft subtles colour family, Stampin’ Up!) and water. The lighter ornaments used the Stampin’ Up! White Chunky Glitter, the darker ones were made by combining all the Stampin’ Up! Fine Cosmo Glitter into one container and using that mixture.
I was so excited, I was cackling. My husband was a little concerned. You MUST try this out!
