Sunday Night Stamping: Fathers Day Card

Posted in Card Samples, Sunday Night Stamping, Watercolour Crayon Techniques at 4:47 am by stamperstacy

I love this card. I liked everything about it. I used a card base of Not Quite Navy, and watercolour paper for the image (stamped in stazon). I coloured in roughly using the Watercolour Wonder Crayons, then a blender pen to blend it together. I used a bit of my sampler pad purchased last month in the promotion Stampin’ Up offered- my first attempt at using it, and I really like it.
Enjoy!

Sunday Night Stamping: Little Trucks Bday Gift and Card

Posted in Card Samples, Other Stamping Projects, Sunday Night Stamping at 4:07 am by stamperstacy

My son went to a birthday party today, and I enjoyed making the card and wrapping his gift. This gable box was purchased at a local store called Creative Packaging. I stamped the images from a retired set, Little Trucks, and coloured them in with markers. The card used Only Orange, Ballet Blue, Whisper White, and Summer Sun cardstocks. Enjoy!

Technique Tuesday: Creating Polka-Dot Ribbon

Posted in Craft Ink Techniques, Technique Tuesday at 1:40 am by stamperstacy

Polka Dotted and other designed ribbon is very trendy right now. Here’s a way to create your own ribbon using materials and supplies you probably already have in your cupboard.
First, gather your supplies: craft ink, SU! grosgrain or other solid ribbon, and an unused pencil with a perfect eraser.
I also used graph paper to help me to line up the dots.
Next, using your pencil as a stamp, ink up the eraser with a colour of craft ink and stamp as you like along your ribbon. You can vary the colours if you clean the eraser between colours (I used a babywipe). I used Whisper White Craft Ink on the black and red ribbon, and Ruby Red Craft Ink on the white. I was very happy with the result- now I’ll have to make a card that I can use these with!
Enjoy!
